There was a progression of magazines you read when you were growing up in the 70s. You started off with Seventeen (Teen too if you were West Coast), then you moved on to Mademoiselle, then Glamour and then Vogue. Mademoiselle covered all the bases - looking for a job, putting together great outfits that didn't cost nearly as much as Vogue wanted you to spend, maybe some relationship advice.
