1960s Cotton Damask Gown with Sweetheart Train

let me call you sweetheart - i'm in love with you If you're comfortable in cotton - let it be cotton! There is no reason to compromise comfort for elegance and we believe in feeling like who you are and not trussed up like a stranger - if trussing is not what you normally do. If your dress feels right and you're comfortable, that's what's going to help make your day perfect. We guarantee you won't be smilin' pretty if you're not used to wearing heels and you're teetering in new Manolo Blahniks with a corset under your dress. A refreshing cotton damask gown in a creamy off-white with an allover stylized Asian water lily pattern. One flat bow right over your diaphragm gives the illusion of an Empire waistline but this is cut like a column. The train is cut into the shape of a heart when down and buttons up to the lower back of the dress with matching covered button-and-loop closures so it fans out into a three-dimensional flower when raised. Beautiful both ways and lovely with antique satin shoes from the 20s and simple hair. Decorative buttons along the outside of the bottom of the sleeve. Bust measures 34", shoulder to shoulder 14.5", outer sleeve 22" and length, in front, 51". Excellent condition. $925.00
