1970s Yves Saint Laurent Flannel Trousers

take our word for it In the average woman's quest for distinctive clothing, it's easy to get lost in a high-end vintage store and overlook really amazing, understated basics in lieu of heading for a Galanos patchwork mink or a Paco Rabanne rhodoid dress. Why would you stop at a pair of grey wool flannel trousers that made you look like the young Marisa Berenson when you could have a Courreges acid green biker jacket? Why would you choose a super trendy Pucci silk poncho when you could have pants that made your ass look like (hmmm, who has the best ass in Hollywood?)... well, that looks absolutely flawless? Are you the shopper that heads for the right now or are you the woman that picks out perfection that lasts? You trust us, right? You wouldn't be here if you didn't think we knew what the hell we were talking about. Yves Saint Laurent cut the best freaking trousers of all of the designers. Nobody compares. Nobody. And there is nothing modern that compares either - not even the most insanely expensive Italian versions. Classic, heavyweight grey wool flannel with a single pleat on either side of the placket. Wide legs and slim hips, this is his signature menswear-for-women look that he is known for. Not flarpy or draped, these are crisp and hold their shape, looking fabulous with very high heeled Edmundo Castillo pumps and a simple button down shirt tucked in. Extended tab closure and slant pockets, the bum is unadorned for a smooth fit. Gorgeous pants - some of his best but you gotta be smart enough to appreciate the simple stuff or that flashy thing is going to bite you in the ass. Designed for the Rive Gauche label, the waist measures 29", hips 36" and inseam 32". Excellent condition. sold
