1960s Chester Weinberg Empire Waisted Coral Suit

one solid outstanding color

enoki seal of approval

Chester Weinberg had a career that ended far too early. From the most amazing dyed silk Japanese dresses to suits that were fantastically different than anyone else's, he put a unique spin on everything he touched. This intensely bright coral wool gabardine suit has an Empire waist, emphasized by an attached wide crocodile embossed leather belt which ends in a big poilshed gold square buckle. We love this line - it's very hip and really makes a conservative suit exciting. Double breasted, it fastens inside with organza wrapped snaps and the skirt is gathered all along the waistline. Try this with a pastel turquoise shell underneath - trust us. Both pieces are lined entirely in white silk crepe. Bust measures 34", shoulder to shoulder 15", outer sleeve 22.5" and length 20.5". Skirt has a 23.5" waist, 36" hips and is 19" long. All pieces are in excellent condition. sold
