Tiger Morse represents a sort of glamourous debauchery that made up so much of the cool 60s. Working with everyone from Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention to being the subject of the 1967 Andy Warhol film, "Tiger Morse", Tiger had her own clothing boutique called Teeny Weeny. But like a lot of the Warhol girls, she was a little too into drugs for her own good and her production was unreliable. If you'd order something from Morse, it would oftem come wrapped in butcher paper, with a used syringe accidentally wrapped along with it. Eventually dying in the early 70s from a drug overdose, she leaves behind a little more of a tactile legacy than other "It" girls like Edie Sedgwick. So while it all sounded fun, not everyone turned out so great back in those days - even if they were full of promise and creativity. Printed nylon lounging jammies by Tiger Morse with skinny spaghetti straps and full, full palazzo legs - a look she was fond of wearing herself. Huge lilies and paisley swirls in teal, magenta, violet, coral, black and white, we love this in summer with Emma Hope's pink suede slides and giant chandelier earrings - poolside with not a syringe but a few Vicodin wouldn't be so bad, would it? Zips in the back and is 58" long. Ideally sized for a modern 8, it is in excellent condition. sold |
