1970s Dyed Silk Dress with Flutter Sleeves

perfect japanese habotai silk

editor tested - customer approved

Fabrics that are hand-dyed will always ensure you get a one-of-a-kind piece. While a professional can predict certain results, water has a mind of its own and the nature of liquid dyes is capricious and basically unpredictable. A gorgeous copper and slate dyed habotai silk dress with fluttering sleeves and asymmetrical peplum waist. Slash neckline has an attached flutter that cascades at the left side of your collarbone and it belts at the waist with a matching, but solid, slate silk sash. Beautiful with copper Giuseppe Zanotti slides and a stack of carved bakelite bracelets at one wrist only. The waist is elasticized under the belt and the hem is wavy, much the same way signature Stephen Burrows pieces are. Bust up to 38", outer sleeve 24.5", waist up to 28" and length 57.5" at its longest. Ideal for a tall healthy 6 or slim 8, it is in excellent condition. $320.00
