1970s Ernest Strauss Belted Wool Suit with Fox Collar

bringing home the hunt Simple elements - big style. The combination of oatmeal wool flannel and a big, bad fox collar is a little on the bitchy side but 'bitch' is hardly an insult. 'Dummy' would be bad. 'Ugly' almost even painful but bitch is kinda, sorta an amusing term, dare we say flattering? Sort of a safari vibe, the jacket has button flap pockets and a matching sash belt. Over a faux wrap skirt that fastens in back, both pieces are lined in buff silk crepe. Made by Ernst Strauss and bearing a Vera Hicks tag (St. Louis' hippest shop in its day) and has a bust of 40", shoulder to shoulder 16.5", outer sleeve 23.5" and length 29.5". Skirt has a 29" waist and is 27.5" long. Excellent condition. sold
