By now you have a good idea of the designers we like and we're quick to hold back our opinions on those we don't. St. John is not our favorite not because of the way it looks - it's more of a what it represents thing. That sort of stuffy rich housewife deal that scares the living crap out of us. Rich? Yes, fine. Housewife sounds kinda cool too but the 'stuffy' part is what really starts our skin a'crawlin'. The woman with the Viking range and Sub-Zero fridge who maybe makes toast every three years, okay? Strip away all the flat Ferragamo shoes with gold bows and the really weird old lady bags and keep this belt, because it works. Some of their cardigans work too but fear factor rules. A 1.5" white leather belt with a faceted quartz buckle, outlined in waves of gold. Fabulously tacky, we love this with a cream cashmere TSE dress and suede Beth's Bootery loafers. Will fit a 28" to 31" lower waist and is in flawless condition. sold |
