1950s Asian Printed Silk Crepe Lounging Pajamas

tangerine and icy blue There is a certain time of day that falls between cocktail hour and bedtime that is the exact hour to don lounging pajamas. You've had your Whiskey Sour but you're not ready to have the hot Toddy and there may still be guests lingering about, playing mah jongg. Certainly you are not expected to do anything but look like a perfect hostess and therefore you have scads of hostess-y attire meant for such informal occasions. A tangerine silk crepe underlayer with a slubbed linen bodice in pastel aqua. Printed with a stylized cloud and dragon design in emerald, royal blue, banana and sage, the jumpsuit zips up the side and ties with a tiny orange ribbon under the arm. The matching jacket closes along the placket with red and orange braided frog closures and is embroidered only at the nape of the neck. Heavily printed at the hems of the wide legs and the jacket, the bodice is banded with a a stroke of white cotton lace where it meets the tangerine silk crepe. Great barefoot, with an ankle bracelet that dangles with tiny silver bells. Bust measures 34" and length is 50" from shoulder to ankle. Both pieces are in excellent, if not flawless, condition. sold
