Decades past required different fashion skills. Nowadays, between flats and platforms, a woman doesn't need to have the acquired skill of running in stiletto heels. But she did in the past. She had to know how to put on red lipstick while driving little Billy to school. With white gloves on. She had to retrieve fallen keys by bending at the knee like a Playboy bunny and she had to tie all sorts of things, including hubby's tie and a belt. Tie a belt? Uhhh yes.
