A lifelong passion for stringing little itty bitty beads onto necklaces and doing plaster casts of your hands and feet in the sand. Canoeing shmanoeing - it's the craftsy stuff that keeps a girl interested. Well, that and a hunky 19-year-old counselor singing "Sweet Baby James" with an acoustic guitar by the campfire. A woman has to take that adoration for potholders into her adulthood by ogling vintage jewelry by Stanley Hagler and Miriam Haskell. A little Kenneth Jay Lane or Original by Robert goes a long way toward scratching that prepubescent itch. A gorgeous, intricate choker and brooch of seed pearls and blue topaz twisted into tiny bead flowers and gilded leaves. Foiur strand choker has an ornate clasp and offset pendant and the pin has tiny gilded pine cones. But tiny, we mean t-i-n-y. Love it. Necklace will fit a 15" neck. Brooch is 1.5" wide. Excellent condition with the exception of some of the faux nacre having rubbed off, revealing white underneath. sold |
