1950s Enameled Pink Bracelet

to layer or not to layer Gloria Swanson in "Sunset Boulevard" wore the most magnificent jewelry. Still living in the 20s and 30s, her Art Deco diamonds piled on those tiny arms were the original version of what Maripol did in the 80s with her black rubber bracelets for Madonna. The Deco bracelets remained popular through the 1950s, in paste versions that make fantastic layering pieces mixed with real gold bangles and bakelite cuffs. An unusual deviation from the rhinestone ones, this pastel pink enameled bracelet is edged in rectangular links with an inset of small pink squares backed in rhodium. A hidden flat spring clasp keeps the pink continuous around the wrist. A little over 1.25" wide, this will fit a 6.75" wrist. Unsigned and in excellent condition. $105.00
