There are many things that make a vintage label good, besides - but not least in importance - looking good. If the label is still alive and who the heck is designing for it matter. Reviving the Halston label may have sounded promising but without Halston, it's nothing. Norell without Norman Norell? Are they kidding?! You know someone will come along and redo Bonnie Cashin but with no Bonnie, you might as well give up everything you own and wear Hefty bags. But with Angela Missoni at the helm of her parent's namesake fashion house, Missoni is probably about as hot as ever. A fuchsia rayon jersey pantsuit with siganature zig zag stripes in violet, sky blue and black. Pointed collar and keyhole neckline, the French cuff top goes over more subdued solid fuchsia palazzo pants, worn over the waistband and capped with a matching belt. Wonderfully versatile, you can wear this as is or split the pair up and wear the top with a teeny tiny white halter and flat white sandals - the top with black Balenciaga pants and boots. Bust measures 36", shoulder to shoulder 14.5", outer sleeve 24.5" and length 26". Elastic band waist measures 24" to 28" with a 28" inseam. Condition is excellent with the exception of the belt starting to separate from the leather backing. $480.00 |
