1970s Love's Fresh Lemon Cologne

clean and simple

enoki seal of approval

Long before crisp colognes, like Demeter's quickies or Comptoir Sud Pacifique, there was Love's Fresh Lemon cologne. The less girlie partner of Love's Baby Soft, these were the colognes for teenage girls who loved other gooey confections like Maybelline's Kissing Potion (basically a roll-on lip candy) and Bonne Bell Lip Smackers. Yes, they make something called "Love's Fresh Lemon" today but Love Cosmetics was bought by Dana and it smells nothing like the original. This is a shortlasting blast of freshly cut grass and pure lemon and it also happens to be the first scent we ever bought for ourselves in sixth grade. We still love it and we still wear it and it holds a place of honor on our dressing tables next to the bottles of Fracas and Fleurissimo. 2 fluid ounces with no evaporation. sold
