Preppy as a year-round theme doesn't appeal to us but Lilly Pulitzer prints and summer are about as perfect a combination as coffee and cream. Loose ponytail, piling the kids in the back of the car on a whim and driving down to Annabelle's on Ceres Street (that's Portsmouth, NH btw) for a towering scoop of Ginger Fruit ice cream. The kids all sit on the bench, each with a different color of sweetness running down their little chins, while you stand back against the car in your Lilly skirt, legs crossed at the ankles. Turning your ice cream, licking it away to pure cone - you kinda understand why people would want to live in warm Florida all year long. A royal blue background with green vines exploding in tiny pink flowers. A single butterfly pocket on the front, right hip and back zip with partially elasticated sides, it is lined in white cotton crepe. Not bearing a Lilly tag, this one is made of Lilly fabric by Key West fashions. Waist measures 30", length 25". Excellent condition. $80.00 |
