Some dresses are cut to be worn with low heeled shoes - like a little girl's dress - and we love that. While it's fun to slide into sky-high heels, this is not the way we want to walk around each and every day. But when did the relinquishing of the high-heels-for-every-day rule come to mean that we would look like we've been washing cars in sneakers and sweats? There didn't seem to be a happy medium for women, between thoroughly 'done' and casual with the exception of a few women designers. Well, Koos van den Akker designs like a woman in many respects because his clothing is distinctive but not highbrow. This A-line buffalo check dress is soft blue, green and rust with a cotton and silk collage surrounding the split neckline, wrists and double-tiered hem. With ties at either side of the placket and inseam pockets at both hips, this looks amazing with a Ann Demeulemeester boots and a sloppy ponytail. Bust measures 39", shoulder to shoulder 15.5", outer sleeve 22" and length 43". Excellent condition with two spots, the color of weak tea, in the folds of the skirt. sold |
