For us, some designers put out the most beautiful collections season after season and some only put out a couple of good things each year. There seems to be nothing bad looking that bears the vintage Kenzo "Jap" label just like almost nothing that says Yves Saint Laurent "Rive Gauche" is bad. And that, sister, is what makes a designer pure genius - when you see them consistently making clothing that is flattering, original, distinctive and easy to wear. Traditional with a serious twist, Kenzo's Japanese fabrics embrace his culture without making costume out of silhouettes that date back centuries. Teal and navy heavy cotton and linen, it crosses at the neck and has classic vented tamoto sleeves. Pleated upper back and hidden pockets on both sides, this is beautiful with flat Fiorentini and Baker sandals and a Chan Luu fabric necklace. Sized Small, we find this to be still true by today's standards but since it pulls over the head with a waist that gives less than Scrooge, it would be a struggle to slip on over broad shoulders or larger bra sizes. Loose silhouette, we recommend that nothing over size 6 even go there. Shoulder to shoulder 15.5", outer sleeve 18", shoulder to waist 16", loose waist 32" and total length 47.5".
