Before Norma Kamali launched her new line and her new life with "OMO", she was just "Kamali" and her work was no less important than after she dumped the useless husband. With the launch of her swimwear line in 1977, she instantly became THE designer to wear when seeking out the most amazing bathing suits. You can stand next to any babe in a bikini on the beach and, despite the fact you're sporting a one piece, blow her out of the salty ocean water if you have this on. Second only to Gernreich, Kamali was/is infamous for her outrageously sexy swimwear in the late 70s and 80s. The one difference between Kamali's suits and Gernreich's? You can wear Norma's to any public beach. Black wet-look fabric, the front has an integral piece that covers the navel but the back looks like a low-rider bikini.
