1970s Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Linen Pants

is it any scret how much we looove castelbajac? Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is a clever bastard. From his inflatable ponchos of the 70s to his infamous teddy bear coat, he holds the distinction of being the only other designer to create for the house of Courreges aside from Andre and Coqueline. And being chosen to design for Courreges is not about the body of work you will produce but how well you understand the name Courreges as a concept. His pieces from the early 70s for Ko and Co. were a lot like his work for Pierre D'alby - that slick sort of military vibe. Off-white linen pants that are semi-sheer except for the large demilune pockets that create panels of opacity at each hipbone. With vertical zippers to close the pockets, there are two patch pockets on the back. Elastic waist with a slight paper bag effect above the band, the legs are full and straight and we love this with a simple white ribbed Hanes tank and Comme des Garcons linen shoes - that's it. Waist 26" to 28" and inseam 31.5". Excellent condition. $315.00
