1970s Mink Coat with Hood

a more youthful spin on the classic mink A classic mink can look, well, dated on a younger woman. There's just something so matronly about it unless you find a coat with just a few good tweaks that make it not only more hip but even sort of unusual while still keeping it timeless. You don't want to spend that much on a coat only to wonder what the hell you were thinking a few years from now. A gorgeous straight-up deep dark brown long mink from Bill Marre here in St. Louis. Internal ties and deep velvet pockets, this one has a removable hood that looks oh so Penelope Tree with lots of long messy hair tumbling out when raised. But pay attention, this is no satin-lined hood - the hood is fur inside and out so when it's up, your head is shrouded in dark, soft mink. Love it with high black patent Manolos and nude legs. Black silk satin lining with internal ties and fur hooks, the pockets are, of course, lined in silk velvet (like all good furs). Bust measures 34", shoulder to shoulder 15.5", outer sleeve 23" and total length 46". Excellent condition. $3100.00
