Anne Fogarty dresses are always polite with the right amount of edge. And the women who are drawn to Anne's dresses are the same way; they know their etiquette and they know who to give the finger to on the freeway. Not just anyone, mind you, "the bird" is reserved for people who push past the limits of common courtesy in the most offensive of ways. The woman at the grocery, on a cel phone, giving running commentary to the imbecile on the other end, "Oh look, they have La Brea bread. I love La Brea bread! Don't you think Krispy Kreme is only good when... bla bla bla". The guy in a crowded post office who finally gets his turn at the counter and then gets on his cel phone. Okay, it's always people on cel phones - they're the worst. Short of inventing a kill signal device (wouldn't that be so great?), the Fogarty girl often finds it hard to keep her composure, but she always does. A cherry red cotton dress with allover white embroidery, there are hidden pockets on both side seams. Fitted bodice with a wide neckline and V back, the waist is nipped before it flares out into her signature full skirt. Lovely with pink Lulu Guinness mules and a giant Jamin Puech straw tote. Made for Margot, the bust measures 34", waist 24" and length 45.5". Excellent condition. sold |
