Anne Fogarty's dresses are the best of the wearable 50s. You can slip right into a pair of Marc Jacobs' bauble flats and go about your day as if you were wearing Juicy track pants. That's not always true of the silk confections with the really massive poufy skirts. Pretty as they are, you lose that functional edge that makes clothing either appealing to wear on a regular basis or something special that comes out maybe once a year. A vivid cerise linen dress made for Margot with a squared neckline and integrated sleeves that hit in the middle of your upper arm. Inverted seams and hidden pockets at both hips, it is unlined.
