1960s Christian Dior Two Piece Silk Dress

separates that are not really separates at all In the early 60s, there were two Christian Dior ready-to-wear labels; Paris and New York and each one had its own distinct flavor. New York was more serious, polished while the French label was more fanciful. Marked by tailored silhouettes and conservative color, Christian Dior New York has a timeless appeal that looks smart decade after decade. A brown matte silk twill dress of two pieces - back-zip cropped blouse and highwaisted skirt with 2.5" wide black contour belt. Diagonal pleats look like pockets with big matte black buttons and this can easily be worn without the top for a change of pace. Perfect with Gucci black alligator pumps and a Bernhard Willhelm purse, both pieces are lined in brown organdy. Bust measures 38", shoulder to shoulder 16", outer sleeve 20.5" and length 19". Skirt has a 26" waist, 36" hips and is 28.5" long. Excellent condition. $305.00
