There is no such thing as a Christian Dior revival because Dior has never faded into the background. Ever since Christian himself launched his New Look in 1947, the house of Dior has been a powerful force in fashion. Later, under the direction of the brilliant Marc Bohan and now, with John Galliano - Dior is a name synonymous with luxury and style without being unattainable or snobby. When a New Look dress is impractical or a Warhol-printed chiffon turnout is excessive, a simple silk oblong will scratch the Dior itch nicely. Snow white crepe de chine with a geometric banded design of alternating indigo stripes and a patterned watercolor in royal. Fringed at the ends, it is fabulous over a Jean-Paul Gaultier denim coat. Measures 20.5" wide by 70" long. Excellent condition. sold |
