1960s Courreges Hyperbole Pink Wool Pants

let's go with winter pink

enoki seal of approval

After Andre Courreges took back control of his house from L'Oreal in the mid 60s, he divided his collections into three labels. Protoype was his high-end couture line, Couture Future was his expensive pret-a-porter and Hyperbole was the hip, youthful line. He also did what nobody had done before; turn pastels into the most sublime palette for winter. No longer relegated to bathing suits and cotton sundresses, his use of pale yellow, baby pink and white was totally fresh - and still is. Picture these twill woven Hyperbole wool pants with a red ribbed cashmere turtleneck and Dolce and Gabbana red stiletto boots with a white wool Courreges coat and you've entered a whole new way of thinking when it comes to winterwear. Creased stovepipe leg with welted seams down each side, they close with three enamelled snaps and have no pockets so you are all smooth, baby pink butt and fine fine fine. Lined entirely in white silk georgette, the waist measures 25" and inseam 29". Excellent condition. $365.00
