The work of husband/wife team Andre and Coqueline Courreges is in a category all its own because the pair worked toward a vision that was all their own. One of the most highly regarded labels in the vintage world, they both came with stunning credentials at Balenciaga before working their Space Age magic in the early 60s. And the designs of the day are relevant today, with original vintage pieces looking every bit as hip as they did back in that all-white atelier in Paris. A sand wool melton suit that feels like a cuddly teddy bear. Signature welted seams and tiny matte buttons along the placket, the cropped jacket has gathered shoulders and decorative vents at the curved hem. Paired with a matching a-line skirt, this looks lovely with pastel pink cashmere and brown suede. Lined in synthetic nude crepe, the jacket has a pocket high at the left side and then again low at the right hip with hidden pockets on both of the skirt's side seams. Bust measures up to 40", shoulder to shoulder 16.5", outer sleeve 21" and length 20.5". Skirt has a 31" waist, 40" hips and is 27.5" long. Both are in excellent condition. sold
