1960s Bonnie Cashin Fleece-Lined Mustard Canvas Coat

can you cut the color While almost all of Bonnie Cashin's vintage coats bely their age with their thoughtful design, sometimes the only tip to when a coat was made will be its color. Hearkening to a time when russet colors were absolutely de rigeur in everything from washing machines to boots, Bonnie's browns and yellows are still so easy to wear with contemporary cords and suede boots. Mustard cotton canvas (think Gulden's) with a deeper gold synthetic fleece interior, the cozy lining not only keeps you toasty all winter but it lends a heft to the coat that maintains the silhouette. Fool she was not, there is a rhyme and reason to everything Cashin. A crazy-big collar that stays up and signature turnlock closures, there are huge pockets at each side seam. Casual as can be with A.P.C Madras skirts and boots, polished over Bernhard Willhelm dresses - there is no reason why vintage can't be your everyday go-to when you have something as smart as this. Made for Sills, the bust measures 40", shoulder to shoulder 16", outer sleeve 22" and length 40". Excellent condition but there is also allover pigment loss to the mustard leather trim. $490.00
