Pierre Cardin was undoubtedly at his best in the 60s, creating everything from space age leather jumpers to basic wool coats that were basic relative only to the rest of his collection. Quickly recognizing that he had to be able to design a wide range of pieces that would appeal to all sorts of women - the thrill-seekers and the classics like, and did so without compromising his signature style. Twilight blue brushed wool with a integral quilted yoke that attaches to the placket in front and forms a modified capelet across the upper back and shoulders. Fastens with three giant shiny black buttons and a skinny black vinyl shoestring at the waist, the pockets are notched and the hem curved. Lined in navy silk, the bust measures 34", shoulder to shoulder 15", outer sleeve 23" and length 42". Excellent condition. $1200.00 |
