The current designer for Bottega, Tomas Maier, is such an unlikely fashion suspect that we can't help but love him like we love no other. His renegade looks and understanding of the brand is so appealing that we think as highly of modern Bottega Veneta as we do vintage. There is a certain softness - not only in feel but in attitude, we dig their unstuffiness to go with everything from vintage Levi's to Zac Posen. A brown suede shoulder bag that has an envelope vibe in a tiny old-school butterfly print. Smooth brown gussets and double shoestring straps knotted on top, it loosk good with almost nothing but a wallet in it or stuffed with a change of clothes and a Russell+Hazel notebook. One hidden zippered pocket under the front flap. Lined in natural cotton twill, it measures 10.5" wide by 12.25" high when closed (17.5" when unfolded) with double 13" straps.
