1970s Bill Tice Panne Velvet Caftan

loungewear to be seen

an 'enokiworld fave' stamp means this item is a quintessential
representation from the designer, a rare find or just plain old supercalifragilisticexpialidocious cool.

Bill TIce was primarily a loungewear designer. Not quite in the same area as Fernando Sanchez, who did fabulous lingerie, Tice considered his work "pleasurewear" that was meant to be seen and won a Coty for his passionate efforts. A taupe panne velvet caftan with violet and magenta Asian medallions and an asymmetrical neckline piped in pink satin with frog closures. Smocked along the top of the shoulders, the sleeves are long and wide and there are inseam pockets at both hips with a slit to the knee in back. Soft, glossy and luxurious - you will love running home each day to get out of your fabulous clothes so you can watch old reruns of Mary Tyler Moore in this. Bust up to 40", shoulder to shoulder 17", outer sleeve 24.5", hips up to 40" and length 57.5". Sized for a tall healthy 6 to small 10 and in excellent condition. sold
