When the dust of the 70s knitwear storm settled, one person was left standing like a phoenix from the ashes and that was Missoni. But there were many designers who were not as well known whose knits were absolutely it. Mary Farrin and her soft angoras, Sonia Rykiel and her oh-so-Deco emsembles and Bill Gibb and his Bohemian sensibilities with color and pattern, A stunning dichotomy of knitwear and bare skin, it's hard to imagine anyone could pull off such an unusual combination other than Dries Van Noten. Deep rust and black knit with glints of cream and metallic gold is a full dirndl skirt with inverted pleats, a bare camisole and sash to wear as a scarf or belt. Designed for Homes and Gardens, it is acrylic and hand washable. Bust measures up to 36" and cami length 23". Skirt has a 24" to 28" waist and is 31" long. All three are in excellent condition. $310.00 |
