1970s Betsey Johnson Pastel Plaid Wool Pantsuit

perky betsey Betsey Johnson is not only an original designer with longevity but she's pretty damn cute to look at. After leaving Paraphernalia, she went to Alley Cat from 1969 to the mid 70s and finally formed her own company where you may still find her today. A quintessential representation of Betsey at Alley Cat, this pastel plaid wool pantsuit marked the era where pants were shifting away from the low-rider 60s thing to a more 40's Hollywood trouser style for women. Lavender, mint, peach, pink and baby blue slubbed wool has been cut into a cropped curvy jacket with gathered shoulders over leggy slim pants with creases and cuffs. No back pockets so you're nothing but smooth butt back there, we love this with a tiny buttercup yellow bodysuit and pre-Gucci Sergio Rossi two-tone blue platform shoes. Fastens along the placket with faux tortoise buttons and has bias cut patch pockets over each breast. Bust measures 34", shoulder to shoulder 14.5", outer sleeve 24" and length 24". Pants have a 24.5" waist and 31" inseam. Both are in excellent condition. $305.00
