Shoulder bags were a wonderful coinvenience that came about in the 40s but practical doesn't always deliver the best look when style is what you're shooting for. Not only does a handheld purse protect the shoulders of your clothing (which is no small task if you wear stuff that costs a lot and is made of really great fabric) but it makes you move differently - puts a little swing in that arm. With a Zac Posen silk dress and Narciso Rodriguez two-tone slingbacks, a vintage pastel twill bag is ladylike in every respect. Adorned with two decorative straps in pearlized baby blue leather, the handle of the bag is joined to the body with tiny gold bars. Lined in champagne moire with one interior patch pocket, it was made for Saks Fifth Avenue. 8.75" wide by 6" high and 2.75" deep with a single 2.75" handle. Excellent, if not flawless, condition. $195.00 |
