Some silhouettes are universally flattering and some are made for certain body types. We hold on the belief that jeans are really for women with tight hips and long legs (they do not look good on everyone Oprah) and that pencil skirts are for an hourglass. But a skirt that is full with a small waist is good for all women, skinny thighs or not. Flat shoes, platform shoes, boots or barefoot and pregnant, putting emphasis on the waist is what dressing a woman's body is all about. A brown cotton and rayon gabardine two piece with a great skirt that has attached ties that come together in front a la Marni. Deep angled patch pockets with glossy topstitching and a matching top with 3/4 cuffed sleeves and a fitted waist to tuck in. Both stand on their own as separates and look equally polished when worn as a makeshift dress. Made by Kane Weill, the bust measures up to 38", shoulder to shoulder 16", outer sleeve 19" and shoulder to waist 17". Skirt has a 27" waist, hips up to 42" and length 24.5". Excellent condition. $105.00 |
